Training Eligibility & When to Start
CS Executive students can commence training after clearing Module 1 or both modules. Training must be done with a practising company secretary or a company.
CS Executive students can commence their training (15 months Practical Training) after clearing Module 1 of the CS Executive examination. You do not need to wait until both modules are cleared. Register your training on the ICSI student portal and obtain approval before beginning.
Yes. Once you clear Module 1 of CS Executive, you can begin your practical training even while attempting Module 2. The 15-month training can run concurrently with your remaining exam preparation. However, the training must be duly registered with ICSI and carried out with an eligible employer.
CS Executive practical training can be completed under a practising Company Secretary (holder of a Certificate of Practice), or in a company having a paid-up share capital of ₹50 lakh or more with a whole-time Company Secretary on its board. The organisation must be registered with ICSI as an approved training employer.
